Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup pineapple chunks
  • ¼ cucumber, sliced
  • 1 stalk celery, chopped
  • ½ green apple, cored and sliced
  • 1 handful spinach
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley
  • ½ inch fresh ginger, peeled
  • ½ lemon, juiced
  • 1 cup cold water or coconut water
  • Ice (optional, for a chilled smoothie)

Instructions:

Step 1: Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender.

Step 2: Blend until smooth and creamy. If the consistency is too thick, add more water or coconut water.

Step 3: Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately for maximum benefits.

Notes:

  • Pineapple contains bromelain, a digestive enzyme that helps break down food and reduce bloating.
  • Cucumber and celery are high in water and electrolytes, keeping you hydrated while flushing out toxins.
  • Green apple provides fiber to aid digestion and gut health while balancing the sweetness with a natural tartness.
  • Spinach delivers iron and essential nutrients, supporting energy and metabolism.
  • Parsley acts as a natural diuretic, helping to eliminate excess water and detoxify the body.
  • Ginger stimulates digestion and metabolism, reducing bloating and promoting gut health.
  • Lemon is rich in vitamin C, which aids in detoxification and supports immune function.
  • Best consumed within 15-20 minutes for maximum nutrient retention.
  • If the flavor is too tart, add a small banana or a couple of dates for natural sweetness.

Cooking hacks and tips

Tip 1: Prep Ahead for Busy Mornings Pre-portion all your ingredients (except the lemon juice and liquid) into freezer bags or containers. In the morning, just dump everything into your blender with fresh lemon juice and water - you'll have your smoothie ready in under 2 minutes.

Tip 2: Adjust the Greens to Your Taste If you're new to green smoothies or the parsley flavor is too strong for you, start with half the amount and work your way up. You can also swap the parsley for fresh mint for a milder, refreshing flavor that still supports digestion.

Tip 3: Use Frozen Pineapple for Extra Creaminess Frozen pineapple chunks make the smoothie extra thick and creamy without needing ice, plus they're more convenient to keep on hand. Just blend a little longer to get that perfectly smooth texture.

Tip 4: Drink It Right Away This smoothie is most effective when consumed fresh - the enzymes in pineapple and the vitamin C from lemon start breaking down quickly after blending. If you need to make it ahead, store it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 hours and give it a quick shake before drinking.

  • Thank you so much for always sharing your healthy recipes tips and good eating thank you 🙏🏽

  • Thank you for your page of encouragement! I watched a video where you were juicing and I’ve been on this weightloss journey for a couple of years now and I wanted to start juicing. When I would do fitcamp they were charging $9-10.00/ bottle. I bought a bunch of veggies, fruits a lot of beets and started juicing up just because of your video. Thank you for the encouragement.

    • Thank you so much for sharing this. It truly means a lot to me. I love that you were inspired to start juicing on your own, especially knowing how expensive it can be. Buying the produce and taking that step is huge. I’m proud of you and cheering you on in your journey. 🤍
